Aluminium Oxide Flap Disc

Bestseller

Versatile general-purpose finishing & light grinding

Cost-efficient A/O flap discs with layered abrasive flaps for smooth surface blending, deburring and edge finishing across most metals. The self-dressing grain keeps cutting consistent as the disc wears.

Layered X-weight cotton flap construction
Consistent finish from first face to hub
Plastic or fibreglass backing plate option
Ideal for welds, edges and surface prep

Flap Disc Buying Guide

Match grit, grain type and disc profile to your job for the right balance of cut, finish and disc life.

  • Grit & finish: 36–50 grit for fast stock removal and rough shaping; 60–80 for general blending; 120+ for a fine, near-mirror finish.
  • Grain type: aluminium oxide (A/O) for most carbon steel at the best cost per disc; zirconium alumina (ZA) for stainless and heat-sensitive alloys with up to 3× longer life.
  • T29 vs T27: T29 depressed-centre discs cover a wider area and are preferred by fabricators for heavy work; T27 flat discs suit flat surfaces, backstands and finishing.
  • Backing: fibreglass backing for strength; aluminium backing for higher stiffness and precision work.
  • Flap disc vs grinding wheel: for one-step grind + finish choose a flap disc; for fast aggressive stock removal of large welds use a grinding wheel first.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer OEM / private label abrasive discs?+

Yes. We produce discs with your brand, custom size, colour and packaging. MOQ starts from a single piece, so you can test before committing.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?+

For standard stock sizes MOQ is very low — from 1 piece for samples and trial orders. For OEM or custom runs we confirm exact quantities by size.

What are your shipping terms?+

FOB Tianjin or CIF worldwide. We also quote CIF and DAP for larger volumes. Sea freight is the most cost-effective for full containers; air or courier for samples.

How do you control quality?+

Every batch is checked before leaving our factory — incoming raw-material inspection, in-line dimensional and weight checks during forming, and physical burst & max-speed tests on finished discs.
